My pride & inspiration for coming generations is #AasooKolhi of #UmerKot #Sindh Aasoo Kohli runs her own school at her home in village Mina Ji Dhani where she teaches over 200 students. Despite of state terror, tension, gender discrimination and negligence towards minorities it astonishes my eyes with tears and rebirth hope and faith towards the humanity and struggle for life when I see the individuals especially young girls being away from the eyes of media and world are creating difference in their society. One such of a difference maker, junior legend, and a true definition of inspiration is Assu bai Kolhi, who is also titled as Malala of Umer Kot. 22 years old Assu Bai is a handicapped daughter of a poor peasant of #Kolhi caste. She was healthy like other children of her age byt was pricked a injection by a quark doctor that made her handicapped and her left leg stopped working. Such hardships in early age of life couldnt let her passion for education down. She used to go to School that was at quiet a distance from her Village. She completed her intermediate and graduation as well. Her father always dreamt for her to be a teacher but not surprisingly being a girl, handicapped and belonging to the Kolhi Caste she didnt get a positive response from anywhere she approached. Once again she didnt give up and called a meeting of the #Kolhis and encouraged them to send their children to her for education. She used to beg on roads and use that money for education of Children. Recently she had been highlighted and supported. Right now she is the only educated girl of her caste but after sometime there will be more aasus emerging due to her efforts and courage. Assu is the symbol of hope, Light and a fight for life.
