Do you live in South London and use the Crystal Palace Sports Centre? If so. Are you aware of the public consultation currently underway from the Mayors Office and GLA to drastically alter it by removing the athletics track (both outdoor and indoor) as well as allowing the building of a school and housing on what is public green space. They dont own this space, we, the taxpayers do. We cant keep letting our elected representatives sell off public assets. My practical solutions to the the new plans are: - Build a state of the art skate/bmx park out the front; - Move the indoor athletics track over to one of the spaces left by the demolished stands; - Absolutely no housing or school building on the site; - Extend the football and hockey playing fields; - Leave the outdoor track and field facilities as they are. DO NOT rip up the athletics track; and - Investigate the building of an outdoor velodrome ringing in the existing athletics track and facilities.
