Do you love fruit? I sure do. Fruit it chock full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and sugar. Well , of course, that is why we love it! When you are deciding on snack be sure to think about their sugar content. While a piece of fruit is a great choice be sure to balance it with a bit of protein, perhaps a hand full of almonds, a spoon of peanut butter or for all you carnivores a piece of homemade, preservative free beef jerky. By balancing you sugar intake with protein you will help to balance your blood sugar and prevent the blood sugar crash that sets you up to eat more sugar and fall off the healthy eating train. Keep in mind, even if you do make a bad choice, it is not the end of the world. Just jump back on the good choice car of the train and continue on from there. There is no sense to beating yourself up about it and then making more bad choices when you can just sayI am human, I made a bad choice and I am not going to make more today. tomorrow is another day. Lay down the nonsense of today, assure yourself you will make good choices tomorrow and go to bed knowing you are still on track with just a bit of a bump in the road. See all of you on the mat! E
