Do you seek in earnest our Almighty Loving Yah of all Creation through his son Yahushua (known as Jesus Christ) : DO you really ?? Study and show thyself approved. Seek him with everything you have got within you. Here is what I came across : In 1830, thirty of the best international Hebrew and Greek scholars joined together for the purpose of creating the best literal phrase translation of the Bible in English history. Although all 33 were in complete agreement over restoring God’s name back into his Bible, tension arose quickly over whether to stick to the Hebrew text on all the prophet’s names (which are Hebrew phrases, most containing the Savior’s Name) and whether to render God’s name as the popular “Jehovah” or the much less known but Hebrew text and Hebrew prophet supported “Yahuwah” (also spelled “Yahuwah”). This developed into an impasse as they tried to finalize the translation in 1885. Phillip Schaff led the Jehovah group and they prevailed, forcing out the more scholarly less profit driven international “Yahuwahns” and their literal translation using the “Yahuw” prophets. This resulted in the much “Catholicized” American Standard Version in 1901, which had taken out all the orginal names and used the sellable “Jehovah” and “Jeho…” although they knew that there was no “J” in Biblical Hebrew and that the vowels “Jehovah” Come from the Massoretic vowel pointing for “Eloah” and YHWH, which the Jews continue to substitute for Yahuwah even today. The Yahuwahn faction tried to publish their translation as the “International Standard Bible” with success only among primary Hebrew scholars. No one had ever heard of “Yahuwah” and “Yahuw” except the Hebrew scholars, in spite of the world’s most popular ancient phrase “AHleluYAH”. Some tried to support the ISB but soon brought too much conflict into the 1200 year Catholic tradition of Iesus, Domini, and the five hundred old Catholic-Protestant traditions of Jesus , Jehovah, Jeremiah, Judah , Jerusalem, Jeroboam, Joah , Job, Joel , Jacob, LORD, LORD GOD etc. All these Catholic names belittle the Eternal Name of Yah, Yahuw or Yahuwahby eliminating his name from his own Scriptures. Even more confusing to the average Christian, this 1885 minority of Yahuwan scholars also used the 2,000 year old Scriptural Law honouring the sanctity of Yahuwah’s Name by keeping the Name of Yahuwsha (Yahuw the savior) and Yahuwah the Creator-Father in the original Paleo-hebrew script in all translations. It has appeared as YHW (Yahuw) and YHWH since the first extant early Scriptural texts twenty five hundred years ago, like the Musaru text, the Elephantine text, the Assyrain tablets and the early Setuagints. This ISB translation received initial sterling reviews from many scholars and seminaries, including Harvard and the New York Bible Society (forerunner of the American Boble Society). However, after the final brake up in 1887, the ISB was advertised as “un-American” and praise weas shifted to the “American Standard Version” and published in 1901. The popular dispensational Scoffelt Bible and the ground swell of the Jehovah Witnesses gave the ASB solid support and the ISB was forgotten until the now. Hebrew scholarship is re-emerging after a long dominance of “modern Greek” over the Biblical Hebrew. Scholars are now slowly admitting that the guide to Biblical Greek (as it is to pronounce the Greek NT Savior “IHY” and “IHC” by the Biblical Hebrew savior “YAHUW” and “YAHUWsha” ,, Not the later Catholic “IESUS”, He’sus” or scholar created Greek “Yeasus”” which amazingly never appears spelled out in any of the early Greek texts! After much research , this great 130 year old ISB translation was procured, updated slightly, copywrited to retain accuracy and is now published by the not for profit Biblical Research Society called “AHleleuYAH Bibles” as the “New International Standard Bible.” Welcome to this great miraculous revival of a true Biblical treasure. Although many names well be new to Christians and Jews, the restoration of God’s Name back into his Bible and his people will bring great blessing, understanding and added spiritual power to all who love and honour his original Word and Eternal Name!
