Do you shop at Westfield? Campaign Against Antisemitism has learnt that a BDS style flashmob is planned to take place in the mall next Saturday, 30th August at 14:00. Given that the mall is frequented by Jewish shoppers, we do not want Westfield (or any other shopping mall or private space) to be turned into a BDS battlezone where our community fear for their own safety, given the antisemitism, looting and tense atmosphere that tends to follow these protests. This is applicable to the general public too as in these places shoppers and shop staff are often harassed. (This happened at Kedem in Manchester and Tesco in Birmingham) We have contacted Westfield and they have confirmed that they are aware of the planned protest. They have suggested writing to the following email address and have promised that those who do will be given feedback in the week.
