NAIJ READERS REACT (opinion submitted by Musa Lawal): Nigeria Police Force here in Nigeria it is a toy. In Nigeria, policemen are subjected to insults instead of appreciation. Policemen are very poor yet they die on daily basis trying to protect other peoples lives & properties. Nobody sees that. The Government does not take care of policemen who sustain injuries in the course of duty. Nobody sees that. Policemen are poorly paid, nobody sees that. Policemen work 12 hours every day, no weekends off, no public holidays, nobody sees that. In Nigeria, people can only see their policemen collecting N20. Nigerians only see policemen sleeping on duty. Anyway, polce reward is in Heaven. It is written: blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called sons of God.
