Docs just came in for morning rounds. Ill try to recap what they said: Patient Kiara, 4 year old day 5 post-op, big words, bigger words, numbers, big words, see monitor screen, more words and numbers. Heres what I got out of it by piecing together the words I understood: Kiara is doing great! Cardiac deficiency is gone. Breathing is normal. Chest tube output is minimal to none. One tube is being removed shortly. Pain meds are going from scheduled to as needed. Biggest concern remains her heart not being able to pace itself. She is still on the pacemaker and will likely remain on it for a few more days. She slept pretty good last night and has been eating well. All in all a great attitude but still has her cranky moments! Show me a 4 year old that doesnt...lol. I get to spend the day with her before heading home this afternoon. No release date is set and I have a plan in place to be able to come back on Wednesday night to visit. Her visitor list will get pretty short after today. It will be momma, grandma and Mimi keeping her company for the next couple days. Keep our warrior in your prayers!!
