Dodger left-hander Clayton Kershaw represented the Dodgers and the National League well Tuesday in New York, tossing a 1-2-3 third-inning at Citi Field during the 84th All-Star Game. Kershaw has now tossed 3.0 scoreless frames in All-Star competition (three games). Dodger pitchers have tossed 4.2 consecutive innings (five appearances) without allowing an earned run, since Chad Billingsley gave up one in 2009 at Busch Stadium. * Kershaw became the seventh Dodger to toss at least 3.0 innings with a 0.00 ERA in All-Star Game play. The others: Orel Hershiser (3.0 IP, 1987-88), Fernando Valenzuela (7.2 IP, 1981-86), Don Sutton (8.0 IP, 1972-73, 1975, ’77), Claude Osteen (5.0 IP, 1970, ‘73), Johnny Podres (4.0 IP, 1960, ‘62) and Whit Wyatt (4.0 IP, 1940-41).
