Miko Peled is the son of Matti Peled who was an officer in the war of 1948 and served as a general in the war of 1967. His grandfather was one of the founding fathers of the State of Israel. In 1997, Mikos niece was killed by a suicide bomber in Jerusalem. This tragedy propelled him onto a journey of discovery. It pushed him to re-examine many of the beliefs he had grown up with and transformed him into a courageous and visionary activist in the struggle for human rights and a lasting peace.
