Does any body understand that inflation and wages have not gone - TopicsExpress

Does any body understand that inflation and wages have not gone hand in hand since the mid1900s? I agree that a soldier and a burger flipper should not get paid the same, but wages DO NEED TO INCREASE! Does anyone know that when the wages were around 6 dollars an hour cost of a soda was 10 cents and a hotdog was 2 dimes? 2 bucks more now in terms of minimum wages but now a dog for 2 bucks and a buck for a soda? Inflation and wages are not raised equally, now more people are in debt because they cant afford to buy anything big with just cash. A car back in the 70s was about 3000 and someone could save the cash and buy it in a year or two. Now, people have to get in debt in order for them to survive. This kind of mentality is a poor one. Minimum wage rises, so does everyone elses. The wage rise should be in direct reflection to inflation. But its not. If our marketplace continues to inflate and peoples wages stay the same, the middle class will be no more. Soon wed be a third world country, where the rich are super rich and the poor are super poor and there will be no in between.
