Does anyone else ever look around and feel panicked and empty as if youre in a different country, like youre far away from home? I feel a little more uncomfortable in this foreign land more and more everyday. Im not having a pity party, Im being serious. Ive never really known a place where I fit in. I keep searching but tonight Ive come to the conclusion, Im not ever going to find this imaginary place on this side of heaven. Angie Hoskins Aldridge, Ive never been this homesick before. Even in the church world, people pay no attention who theyre stepping on as long as theyre climbing to the top of the social latter. Im tired of fighting, Im tired of caring, Im tired of hurting, Im tired of watching my kids cry. Tonight, if there were airplanes to heaven, Id sell everything I own for 4 one way tickets. Im not weird, and Im very thankful for everything God has given me. Im just hungry for home. People know me there. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traders, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
