I have this strange and very strong connection between Tolkiens Lord of the Rings novels and Roy Orbisons song Only The Lonely. I always think of the song when I read LOTR, especially when Frodo is in Mordor, and always think of the books when I hear the song. They both have a grey-colored, lonely weight to them that connects them for me. Its strange. Anyone else have a similar connection?
