Does anyone have room for a foster baby? - TopicsExpress

Does anyone have room for a foster baby? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee We are looking for a foster home if possible within a ten mile radius of Bristol. Think it is fair to say that this young lad (thought to be around two and a half years old) would benefit from a foster home as he certainly hasnt had the best start in life. Snowy, as he has been called for the last month, was taken in by a very kind lady who has helped him on the road to recovery but it was only ever going to be a temporary arrangement as her home is already full!!! We have been approached as it is now time for Snowy to find his own forever home. Snowy has come a long way in just four week, but he is still a little unsure about life and still worries that not everyone is kind!!! As he has been in a home environment it would be such a shame for him to have to go to kennels, especially as he still needs building up as he is quite thin and the cold weather will certainly not do him any favours. If anyone can possibly help please PM me or phone 0117 9695332. This is a little bit about Snowy written by the very kind lady who has helped him. Little Tinker is a quiet lad . It is my observation his previous owners kept him outside possible stable. He does not enjoy the cold. He also does his best to avoid puddles and rivers . He is very well behaved on the lead but would need some time to attach before being allowed free running . He takes a big interest in rabbits etc. This lad is very nervous when eating dinner. It is helpful if his food bowl is placed in a corner to secure it . He associates eating with possible abuse. Probably because he is a thief due to being hungry. He is very happy to curl up somewhere warm quietly. Mixes well with my large dogs and shows no aggression in the home environment to other dogs . He is wary of people . But again not aggressive at all. He is now eating well after a poor start. I soak his dry food (Arden Grange ) feed twice daily and top up with pasta and rice ... We offer eggs and veg also. His weight has steadily improved. I would like to see him drink more. He has come a long way in the short time he has been fostered . He needs to be let out side regularly . It has taken some time for him to respond to us with excitement . I feel he will benefit from a loving environment with people whom will allow him to come around at his own pace.... COULD YOU BE THE PERSON FOR HELP THIS BEAUTIFUL SALUKI X Any foster home offered would be subject to our usual home check procedures.
