Does anyone know how to install a pillar cock tap? I have taken the old one out ... (took a LOT of work) But the new one doesnt just slip over the pipe as it has a plastic yellow bit in the bottom, Im not sure if this is the washer ... or if Im meant to punch it out ... as it doesnt move ... so doesnt simply just slide up into the threaded section ... I hope that makes sense and someone can help me ... Ive never changed this type of tap before ... The first pic is the old tap, 2nd one is the old tap out ... 3rd pic is the bottom on the new pillar cock tap ... and 4th is new tap, taken at a slight angle.
