Does anyone know if which of these is the best way to connect a MIDI controller to a computer? 1) Connect the controller directly to a computer via USB A-B Cable (which also powers the controller). OR 2) Connect the controller to a USB/MIDI Interface (like the M-Audio MidiSport Uno), which also requires the controller to be connected to a power adapter. It would seem more convenient to use a USB A-B Cable (so as to only deal with one cable), but are there any latency discrepancies/other issues with one method or the other? Or are they basically the same?
