Does anyone know the history behind the stone steps located - TopicsExpress

Does anyone know the history behind the stone steps located throughout Goodyear Heights ? I can think of 2 or 3 sets of them in the Goodyear Heights and the East area. I assume they were put there to help the kids walk to school ? Or by Goodyear or Firestone to maybe help workers walk to work ? Partially buried Incan pyramids maybe ? Probably not the last one ...On the city map where some of them are located between The Brooklands St and Preston Ave , the map names a set of them Beacon Walk , but thats all I could find on them . Would appreciate anyones information to help with my curiosity.. Thank you in advance of any help that you can give .
