Does anyone really believe gridlock will end? Personally, I - TopicsExpress

Does anyone really believe gridlock will end? Personally, I don’t believe Republicans could work with Democrats and govern even if GOP leadership wanted to. I suspect Mitch McConnell and John Boehner really do want to end gridlock, but can they? In a word, NO; just my opinion. McConnell may be able to control rabble-rousers like Ted Cruz in the Senate, but there are too many Tea Party types in the House who are unwilling to work with Democrats and President Obama, and Boehner simply cannot control them. The 2013 government shutdown is a prime example of McConnell’s and Boehner’s inability to control their own people, and it cost taxpayers $24 billion. The GOP badly needs new leadership. Replacing McConnell and Boehner with fresh conservative faces is the only chance we have for ending gridlock.
