Does anyone remember the Midwest cafe and Tuesday night jackpot rodeos; the old junior high with the cool tube slide fire escape; walking textbooks from the old jr hi to the new one by the high school; typing classes with manual machines; choosing a foreign language in high school--Latin, Spanish or Russian? How about the great real French fries you could get at the dive cafe across from the movie theater? Or chocolate cokes at the recall drug store? Ben Franklins five n dime; crack the whip through downtown as part of homecoming and building those gloriously ugly floats we were so proud of?? So many memories--most good,some bad--Bobby Tucker getting killed in that car wreck when mr. Avagarus was driving --it was the first funeral I ever went to; Sherwood Forest, ice skating at the park; hoping the red glad was out at sunset elementary so we could wait for school inside; wearing dresses every day to school without thinking there was something wrong about that. I have to stop cause those memories go in and on--😀
