Does being a woman inherently make you more emotional? How about being a minority woman? Join us TOMORROW at 6:30pm in Languages 211 with Dukes Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) as we engage in discussion on how certain factors (upbringing, peer pressure, etc.) influences the perception of psychological illnesses as nonexistent, specifically in minorities. We will also discuss how being a minority and being a women does affect mentality, from the way one can be differently treated to being convinced of being flawed. There will be free Enzos pizza! This is part of Kappa Phi Lambdas annual Spirit of the Phoenix Week, where we host a week of events that embody our passions for philanthropy, service, and cultural awareness.
