Does it strike anyone else as ridiculous that the media isnt covering the protests in Ferguson, MO nearly as much as they should be? Unfortunately, two media members who are there - Ryan Reilly from the Huffington Post and Wesley Lowery from the Washington Post - were arrested for a short time today simply for reporting on what was going on. For those who havent seen anything about it yet, check out the article below and read some more about whats going on in the aftermath of the shooting by police of an unarmed 18 year old black man. Since the shooting, peaceful protests have been broken up with tear gas and armed police patrol the streets. Wesley Lowery relayed a story yesterday of black citizens being stopped in the streets by police at gunpoint simply because they were trying to go home. If one thing is clear, its that there is still a meaningful discussion to be had about race relations in certain places in the US.
