Does money make a man attractive? In over 17 years in the church, I have never seen spirit filled, anointed, and heaven-conscious-sisters-in-Christ queue up to marry a poor, financially-down-low, brother in Christ. I have seen an ignored despised guy in church who suddenly “hit” some good money and soon, everybody sees a vision of him getting married to them. Sadly, I have never seen a brother with cash who struggled to find the “will-of-God-in-marriage” So I ask, does money make a man attractive? Of course No! Hell No! I know you don’t want to sell your soul for money (Preach on, preacher), but who wants a cross and a partner in poverty? So one more time, does money make a man attractive? If you are attracted to your man, convinced that “he is the one”, but he is broke, would you proceed? Will your family give consent? Will your friends attend the wedding (let’s assume there is even money for the wedding)? Money is not everything, but it answers all things. We live in a physical world, but we are strangers and pilgrims on earth. Beauty, love, and “I fit die for you sef” does not pay the NEPA bills, (that is if u get light o, or else na fuel bills) A man provides for his home and it makes him responsible and attractive. A man secures his home and children and it makes him powerful and attractive. A man gives direction and strategy and it makes him wise and attractive. How does he provide, secure and give strategy without honour, character and money. Dear Sisters and Brothers, money buys the house, but character and honour builds a home of love and peace. Dear sisters and brothers, money pays the bills, but wisdom and strategy determines whether it should have been a bill in the first place. Dear sisters and brothers, but if we have character, honour, and wisdom and still can’t buy the house, pay the bills, and provide comfort, it will cause the world to doubt that we even had character, honour and wisdom in the first place. We need balance. Money makes a man attractive especially when it is in the pocket of an honourable God fearing man.
