Does this little girl look like a rat terrier? I am with Golden - TopicsExpress

Does this little girl look like a rat terrier? I am with Golden Retriever Acres Senior Sanctuary (GRASS). We have ended up with a terrier (story below), and I have been referring to her (Cookie) as a rat terrier mix. Would you guys please let me know if she is rat terrier (or if some other kind of terrier, which one)? We are in Spring, TX (Houston). Thank you so much!! _______________________________________________________ Just look at this little cutie!! Her name is Cookie and we are looking for an adopter or a rescue group for her. She is an absolutely adorable little terrier mix (rat terrier perhaps?). Cookie is playful and energetic, but is also a sweetie that loves to snuggle and sit next to you on the couch. She is maybe a year and 1/2 old and is crate trained. Cookie is spayed, HW Negative, and up to date on vaccinations. She has not been around children so we do not know how she is with young kids. Cookie came to us in a round about way. Her owner is blind and, being a young terrier, Cookie was just too much for her to handle. Long story short, there were accidents in the house that the husband didnt like, so he took Cookie to a kill shelter where he was told she would be put down (we all hate it, but we also know there are shelters in Houston that put down owner surrenders even though they are young, healthy, trained, and very adoptable). Her owner was already devastated but finding this out put her on the phone to friend, who happened to be a GRASS volunteer. Our volunteer, who had spent time with Cookie and knew she was a great dog, went immediately to the shelter and picked her up. Which means we now have a little terrier that needs a home or a rescue group!!! We know it is easy in these situations to ask why would anyone let their spouse take their dog to a shelter? This is something that we, as rescuers, do not understand. However, Cookies story is included so you will know her background, know she was well loved and, hopefully, not pass judgement on her owner, who is disabled and dependent. In the pics of Cookie, we have included one of her with Lil Bit so you can see that she is just a little thing. Please let us know if you are interested in adopting Cookie or if you can help get her into a terrier, small breed, or all breed rescue group. Thanks!! You will notice in the picture that Cookie has on a bell. This was so her blind owner would know where she was.
