Dog Obedience Classes – Level I: Mondays & Thursdays, Aug. 26 - Sept. 12 (will meet Tuesday, Sept. 3 instead of Sept. 2 due to Labor Day). 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Enjoy your best friend even more! Learn how to teach your dog to greet humans and other dogs, leash manners, leave it, drop it, sit, down, stay, and come. Also: Dog behavior, potty training, crate training, and individual needs. NO DOGS THE FIRST CLASS. Must bring shot record first class. Bring clean-up bags and tasty treats sessions 2 - 6. No retractable leashes or choke/prong/shock collars allowed. Instructor Jackie Pullum is a recent graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she studied psychology. She has been working with dogs for more than 10 years, using positive reinforcement training methods. She also works with a national nonprofit that supports survivors of trauma, therapists, and their family members, where she educates about the benefits of dog ownership for people suffering from PTSD and other trauma related issues.
