Dog owners, Dog Walkers, no matter what breed or size of dog you have keep this in mind at all times: All dogs are descendant from the wolf. Dog owners/walkers are responsible of the actions of their dog at all times and more so in places frequented by the general public and other dog owners/walkers. Meeting me and my two miniature schnauzers (On leads) on a narrow pathway with your cross bred malamute/Alsatian (not on a lead) and telling me he wont touch me or my dogs is the most unbelievable statement I will ever hear. My dogs will bark (quite natural for a dog) and in this case set off the cross breed who in turn bared his teeth ferociously at me and my dogs. The woman with the dog struggled to control it without a lead, Dexter, the braver of the two Schnauzers was now in a nose to nose growling match with a dog 5 times his size....it took a bit of work to separate them. The message is quite clear: you must at all times in a public place have total control of your dog. Be responsible and get the message. For future ref: I will be the man walking the two miniature Schnauzers on leads and in control, I will also be carrying a big stick commonly know as a Blackthorn...........and I dont need it to lean on.........
