Dog was an important helper for nomad cultures so dogs were loved in the western culture. In an agriculture culture, cows were helpful but not dogs. Many traditional Chinese farmers dont understand why western people can eat beef, same as western people dont understand why people in China/ East Asia eat dogs. Cows are holy in part of Indian. Jains dont eat root vegetables since they dont want to hurt the microbiols in the soil. So, what will you think if Hindus and Jians come to us and forbid us from eating beef and stop eating potatoes and onions? I respects Hindus and Jains - they know how to respect other peoples culture! I look down upon some arrogant Western media!!!
