Doggie friends... Right or wrong ?? just been on a lovely walk enjoying the sun and Hershey and Bear enjoying themselves in the river when out of nowhere comes a black and tan setter type dog .. no owner in sight!!! this dog has previous form for not liking Bear in his entire form.. this dog set upon Bear in the river snarling,growling and biting poor Bear ....I had no choice but to wade in and retrieve Bear but this dog wouldnt let go. All i had to hand was my leads which I smacked across this dog face still no effect by this time I am shouting and owner appears who does bugger all so I punched dog in face aided by adrenaline !!! Owner has a go at me !!! for being vicious !!! I have both mine on lead by now cowering behind me and he is struggling to control this dog !! His dog is entire too but shouldnt be off lead surely if he has not control ??? he had a right go at me and absolutely no apology for me either !!! Am very upset and Bear is ok apart from graze/bruise type marks on his back which I have bathed . If I find out where he lives I am reporting this . So back to my original question was I right or wrong in punching dog ???
