Doing genealogy this is what found its way to me. There were numerous people offering even larger reward to get back what the believed was their property. About 30 years of age. 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, yellow complexion, slender made, rather knocked kneed, turns out his toes when walking, branded on both cheeks, an s on the one and a C on the other, also marked notches or slits on both ears and an iron band on his neck and one on his leg when he went off. It is supposed that he will endeavor to go Little Rock or Davidsonville, Arkansas Territory, as he was stolen, taken to that place, sold, and he has since made several attempts to go back to that place. The above reward of $20, if taken in the Territory of Arkansas or $10 dollars if taken in another state, will be paid to any person who will apprehend Negro, and secure him so that I can get him again.
