Doing some cleaning around the apt. tonight & found some stories (actually, chapters of them) Id written a few months back. Story #1 (The Love Spell) is based on a letter a reader wrote to advice columnist E Jean of Elle Magazine. (The reader is supposedly engaged to be married but cant seem to stop seeing an old friend of hers since her grandma passed away over 8 months ago, & the story evolves from that). Story #2 (Pina Coladas) was borne out of a writing prompt from Miami Ad school: Write a story that includes a fruit, sport/physical activity, & a popular song. I penned the story around the song Pina Coladas, but instead of a mans P.O.V. we have a married lady who writes a personal ad to spruce up her love life. Did some editing tonight on both stories & feel pretty good! (Well, sans the sore throat).Love quiet days like this one when I can work on various writing projects to my hearts delight. Id love to live like this full-time one day...& only come up occasionally for food, exercise, & air. :)
