Dolly should have raised 10 kinds of hell today. A work crew was partially re-surfacing the streets here.Lots of noise big mcahines rolling through operated by people she dont know. Men walking by with tools in their hands. Instead of raising cain she walked out to within a couple of feet from the street.... and just stood there and watched the men work. She was fascinated with what they were doing. She was particularly interested in the man with the bobcat who kept flying around doing all sorts of things. Maybe she was thinking about trying to con the driver into giving her a ride. Maybe she was thinking how much fn it would be if I owned one and gave her rides on it. Ill never know . She stood and watched until everyone had moved on. Then she decided to come to me for a belly rub. I got in a few good hours of work outside this afternoon. I was trying to get some things squared away before the cold weather hits tomorrow. Dolly was out with me the whole time enjoying the cooler weather. She dont like really cold weather but she can;t tolerate hot weather at all. She could probably tell you the coolest places in our yard better than I can. Once we came inside I let her go on in ahead of me. By the time I got to the living room here was Dolly already perched at the top of my recliner. I sat down and said Not yet Dolly She responded with a snort and a tail wag. Then I said let me get settled in first. So I got rid of my wseaty shirt, grabbed a few things Id need later, then I said to Dolly OK little girl, Im ready She stands up, turns and licks my face, then turns again and ...plops her butt on my shoulder. She soon drifted off to sleep. I think I will take a nap myself.
