Dolly the Sheep was brought in just a few short days ago after being found down in a field for more than 5 days, without access to food or water. thank goodness someone tried to get her help before the frigid weather today!! Dolly was so badly urine saturated and filthy, that her wool had to be hand cut away from her body. Using only scissors, it took 3 people nearly an hour to cut her free from her wool shackles.. a total of almost 50 pounds of urine saturated wool removed from her tiny frame. Day by day, this girl gets better and better. Just yesterday, she began standing on her own and moving around unassisted. Currently, she is residing inside our shelter, in one of our dog runs, where the warmth of the kennel area is helping her to regain her strength. Dolly will soon be looking for an adoptive home once she is cleared medically. We will also be posting updated photos of her as she progresses positively in regaining her health.
