Done. Finito. Duh End. All over cept for the fat lady singin. La, la, la, laaaaaaa......Im warming up. Haters (mainly my sister who is not on FB--Sydney Cullison, you can share with her.), summer vacation is over for Butler R-V School District and.....gasp......ME!!??. Happy now??!! It only seems right to close out with a list......of things Ill miss about summer vacation: 1. 3900 mile journeys to The West.....and all the great memories that trip conjures up. 2. Staying up until 3 AM and sleeping until noon. Yeah, we do what we want. 3. No schedules. 4. Waking up to happy, rested kids. 5. My bed....and naps. 6. No worries, few responsibilities. 7. Trips to the Mac Donalds to harass Maggie, Mady, and Allison. 8. Working at a leisurely pace around la casa de Gustin.......because there was always tomorrow to get things done if I moved too slowly or enjoyed outside too much. 9. My chair.......and my phone..... 10. Naps. 11. Baseball. 12. Spur of the moment trips. 13. My dog at my feet 24/7. 14. The peace and quiet, solitude and security of my home.......in the middle of nowhere. 15. The times when Middle Man and Little Man werent fighting. Summer vacation, I will miss you desperately......but I look forward to our reunion in nine months. Until then, there is much to be done.......important stuff, things that matter......tons to teach, lives to change. (Scares some of you that I teach, doesnt it?? :) Hello, Fall?? Look out! Im headed your way, and weve got a lot to do!! Laaaaaaa, laaaaaaaa, laaaaaaa, LLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (in best loud and obnoxious voice)
