Donkey Kong Countrys Cartoon in the 90s is still a small classic show of this era of when Video Game Cartoons were pretty prominent. Though the show has a mixed reception or cult classic status (And considering some of the Video Game Cartoons it had to face, it either had an easy time [namely shows like Mortal Kombat Defenders of the Realm or, God Help me, Double Dragon] or it had a supremely hard time to prove itself [Sonic SatAM and Earthworm Jim anyone?]) I enjoy it, the voice acting is good, the characters are pretty spot on to the games, and some of the original characters fit kind of well. But one of the strangest things about the show is just how Bad the Animation is. People could see it as a flaw, I see it as charming, if just for how bad it is. The animation can get so bad its pretty funny. And contrary to some people, the insert songs are kind of fun to listen to. Donkey Kongs Singing is actually really good, and the others do a good job as well. Overall, Id say its a fun show for what its worth. Not the greatest thing ever, but far from being anything bad or just okay. Though all of you should make sure of something... Keep an eye out for The Big Bog Monster. Grade: C+
