Dont Fall in Love With His Potential Ladies We inadvertently set ourselves up for such heartbreak by falling in love with the potential of a man instead of looking at what is right now. It is such a beautiful quality that we ladies possess; the optimistic, positive outlook that we apply to the men and relationships in our lives. We can meet someone today and see not just the person he is in front of us, but we see so much of what he could be but only if he were loved by someone like us. We are so excited to have the chance to be the perfect girlfriend he never had before, the one who understands him so well the one who makes excuses for him. In a sense we see ourselves as his savior you know the one who is there to bring out all these qualities that are underneath the surface of him. And then reality kicks in. If he was only willing to work on himself. If only he could see the potential in himself. If only he didnt stop taking everything from us and giving nothing in return. If only he could see that Im worth changing for. If only he wasnt scared to commit. If only he would grow up. If only he would leave home. If only he would leave her. Finally we see what has happened. How we allowed ourselves to fall know love with someones potential. He didnt see. We did. He wasnt feeling it. We were. And when its all over we are left with the if onlys that never came to be. In conclusion, ladies the optimism you have save it for someone who is truly worthy of that gift in you.
