Dont Worry I have a confession... Sometimes I allow worry and anxiety to keep me awake at night. I worry about keeping up with assignments and deadlines. I question whether the decisions I made during the day were right decisions. I worry if the decisions I make tomorrow will be right. The list can go on any given night. During those sleepless nights I make it a point to read my Bible and spend time in prayer; but when the night drags on I usually find a book that will encourage me. The other night I picked up Max Lucados Travelling Light and began reading it again. I chuckled and was encouraged as I read this passage: How can a person deal with anxiety? You might try what one fellow did. He worried so much that he decided to hire someone to do his worrying for him. He found a man who agreed to be his hired worrier for a salary of $200,000 per year. After the man accepted the job, his first question to his boss was, Where are you going to get $200,000 per year? To which the man responded,Thats your worry. Lucado then went on to quote Psalm 23 and reminded me that The Lord is our Shepherd...He leads me. God isnt behind me, yelling, Go! He is ahead of me, bidding, Come! He is in front, clearing the path, cutting the brush, showing the way. Lets try not to worry and trust our Lord to lead us this week. Blessings, Pastor Alicia Family Ministries
