Dont be lulled into complacency because of how effective vaccines have been at eradicating horrific disease that used to kills tens of thousands of peoples each year and maim millions. The extremely minute (like one in a MILLION) life threatening complications from vaccines (and those complications only result if you have a genetic predisposition towards those conditions that would arise in the first place in the absence of vaccination) are so remote in comparison to the oh 1/4 chance of permanent blindness or 1/10 chance of DEATH from measles, or 98% chance of permanent limb paralysis from polio, or 85% chance of death from small pox, or 1/4 chance of going deaf or permanent mental retardation from mumps. Or irreversible brain, heart, and lung damage from rubella. Vaccines are miraculous life saving elements of modern science, and anyone who doesnt understand that is a naive tree hugging commie that should all live on the same disease infested island and die a premature death.
