Dont covenant with the enemy! In the name of winning souls at all cost we sometimes get ourselves entangled in all kinds of alliances and deals. I know Ill get unpopular for this message but once The Holy Spirit is pleased, Im okay. How do you expect someone who is not saved and busily populating hell to promote your Kingdom business? As a matter of fact you should be concerned when a mouthwatering proposal is put before you for there must be a catch somewhere. As soon as God does the hard work and promotes you, shouldnt you be suspicious about those (mostly lukewarm people) who quickly flock around as benefactors wanting to collaborate and connect you to the powers that be? Im sorry but if you put your trust back in chariots and horses, its a tragedy in waiting. Jesus proclaimed that his brothers are those who hear the Word of God and do it! We cant change that definition. Let us workout our own salvation with fear and trembling and it will guide us as to how to choose a brother, partner, collaborator, etc Selah! And his servants said to him, “Behold now, we have heard that the kings of the house of Israel are merciful kings. Let us put sackcloth around our waists and ropes on our heads and go out to the king of Israel. Perhaps he will spare your life.” So they tied sackcloth around their waists and put ropes on their heads and went to the king of Israel and said, “Your servant Ben-hadad says, ‘Please, let me live.’” And he said, “Does he still live? He is my brother.” Now the men were watching for a sign, and they quickly took it up from him and said, “Yes, your brother Ben-hadad.” Then he said, “Go and bring him.” Then Ben-hadad came out to him, and he caused him to come up into the chariot. And Ben-hadad said to him, “The cities that my father took from your father I will restore, and you may establish bazaars for yourself in Damascus, as my father did in Samaria.” And Ahab said, “I will let you go on these terms.” So he made a covenant with him and let him go. (1 Kings 20:31-34 ESV)
