Saturday morning plenary - What Do People Know About CMV? What Can We do About It? - Dr. Rosemary Thackeray, BYU (Brigham Young University). Dr. Thackeray is a professor in the Department of Health Science. Prior to joining the BYU faculty, Dr. Thackeray worked at the Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Health Education and the CDC. Awareness of CMV among the general population is relatively low. This session will examine awareness among women of childbearing years, medical students, and child care providers. One reason CMV awareness may be low is the lack of information included provided to women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Data will be presented to show the accuracy and amount of information on pregnancy websites and in books. The session will conclude with specific tips for how to use social media to increase CMV awareness.r
