Dont fully understand what the fascination of breaking track records is in speedway racing . Unless its time trials if records are broken during heat races or feature races it generally means the tracks too juiced up to produce good quality side by side racing . Personally Id rather see the race slowed down the track widen up and drivers skill come to fore . Most steering wheel attendants can hang on pretty good and run flat to the boards . But skilled drivers can display throttle and steering control . So unless Im watching time trials I probably wont get worked up over track records . Maybe that is why I prefer a dash or pole shuffle to the World Series styled shoot out
