Dont know if this is off topic or not, but as it deals with consciousness, Im going for it. ;) Finally had a nice little lucid dream this morning. I had had a fitful sleep because of back pain and woke a few times during the early morning hours. At about 4:00 AM, I woke and had a cup of coffee and fell back asleep forgetting that this was a classic technique for triggering a LD. I started dreaming that I was driving to Washington, D.C. and after realizing how long a trip (from upstate NY) I had in front of me, I awoke into a lucid state and told myself just fly there instead. I willed it so and took off like a ballistic missile with the proper trajectory for my old condo in D.C. I could see all of the Eastern Seaboard lit up and recognized the big glow of D.C. as I descended. For some reason I wanted to check out a set of steps I had built on my old porch of which I was proud of at the time. I wanted to see how well they had stood the test of time having built them around 1995. Darn, my computer just told me its going to restart to add software so I will stop here and continue after the break. P.S. Good morning to you all Okay, back again. I descended quickly and directly to my old home. I looked at the deck and started to inspect the steps. They looked about 19 years old, with a lot of mildew and some of the screws I had used were rusted. I tried to shake the railing and to my satisfaction it was rigid and the steps were firm when I stepped on them. I then noticed someone walking towards me and felt like a prowler so I took off a bit but not high enough to escape their vision. They started asking me how was I pulling the trick of floating in the air. They checked for wires and even wings but couldnt find any. For some reason I was dressed in total white but was wearing dark sunglasses. I didnt try to explain and then began concentrating on flying again, which I did, and then I really woke up. The level of detail of aging that I saw in the steps gave me the idea of attempting a remote viewing exercise. I plan on having a friend leave something out of the ordinary somewhere, perhaps on my old steps, and I will concentrate of visiting the site to see whether I can remotely view as well as lucid dream. Has anyone else tried to do this? Thanks and Bless.
