Dont let them get you with this propaganda! They want you to believe, so that you can leave, and they can have your apartments or homes. Do not go for the okiedoke. Gentrification means to turn a neighborhood over to the gentry class. We are not of that class, which is identified as white, male, gentlemen. That is the original meaning of the term. Now it means when whites move in, negroes move out. Why? They always assume imminent domain. Whatever they want is theirs, once they consider it valuable. There is a great benefit in more funds coming to the neighborhood, yes, but they want to take over. This plan has been in place for 25 yrs, behind closed doors, worked out between Rangel and others. In the words of my mom They aint running me out of my place! Less low income housing, more policing, and harassment are the tactics being used to put you into fight or flight mode. They know most will flee. That is the plan, dont let them get you. Fight for yours! I left Harlem before all of this started. My mom is a born and bred Harlemite. She is not going anywhere.
