Dont miss BBCs Cadburys at War with Central England Friends On Monday 2 June at 7.30pm on BBC 1, BBC TVs World War 1 at Home series will air (in the West Midlands only) Cadburys at War: bbc.co.uk/programmes/b045gjw5. The programme tells the story of brothers Laurence and Egbert Cadbury during World War I, and explores the dilemmas that Quakers faced. Laurence served in the Friends Ambulance Unit and Bertie joined the military as a fighter pilot. Part of the programme was filmed here at Woodbrooke and will feature a short section of a meeting for worship attended by approximately 70 Central England Area Meeting Friends, and some ministry and interviews with Friends. If you dont live in the Midlands region youll still be able to catch the programme when it becomes available on the BBC iPlayer. Well update this page next week with a link.
