Dont normally post reviews here but if you have a minute to read, this is a really nice one...thank you:) LA BUCCA REVIEW... La Bucca Ratoath have surpassed themselves yet again! My family and I have been customers of La Bucca since we moved to Ashbourne over ten years ago. When I had my daughter eight years ago, we ate in La Bucca Ashbourne every day for over a month while we found our feet with our newborn. We got to know the staff and Russell the owner who had a daughter also a similar age to ours. The friendliness and warmth we always encountered and the consistently excellent quality food is what makes us loyal customers eight years on. When we moved house we moved nearer to the Ratoath branch and this is now our regular place to eat. At risk of repeating myself, La Bucca food is always excellent! We find the menu broad and it covers all the usual Italian fare such as pasta and pizza but also gorgeous fish such as monkfish (my favourite) and swordfish and tasty burgers and salads too – and the desserts (sigh!). The wine list is similarly all encompassing. Russell and his staff are warm and friendly, and I think it’s a testament to La Bucca that the staff remains the same over years – no staff turnover here! My daughter adores La Bucca Ratoath and asked to have her First Communion hosted there. As to be expected Daiva and Tomas and all the staff excelled in terms of both service and making our daughter feel like a Princess on her day. Daiva bent over backwards to help my elderly Mother and she had the chef cook some plain chicken with a simple salad and no dressing – nothing was too much. We had an excellent day, as we always do whether it’s a special occasion like this or a Saturday evening when I don’t feel like cooking. Our visitors from the U.S.A said that La Bucca burgers were second only to New York burgers! Go, eat, enjoy and you’ll soon find yourself regulars just like us.
