The Los Angeles Conservatory provides programming in voiceover, theatrical/commercial cold reading techniques, improvisation and more. CBS to Sponsor 10th Annual Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase, Submissions Must be Received by 5 p.m. (PT), Friday, Aug. 22 The January 2015 showcase will be directed by Rick Najera and presented in association with SAG-AFTRA, East West Players and The Robey Theatre Company. CBS Entertainment will sponsor its 10th annual Diversity Sketch Comedy Showcase for diverse sketch comedians in January 2015 in Los Angeles. Executive producer and writer Rick Najera (Mad TV, Latinolouges, Nothing Like The Holidays, In Living Color) will return to direct. Fern Orenstein, CBS Senior Vice President, Casting, will cast and serve as the executive producer. CBS Entertainment executives, casting directors from competing networks and casting directors from production companies who work in collaboration with CBS will attend the Showcase. Submissions: Photos and resumes should be sent electronically to Michael Campanizzi at michael.campanizzi@cbs, Attn: CBS Comedy Showcase. Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. (PT), Friday, Aug. 22. Please note: The showcase will highlight actors with extensive sketch comedy experience. Each audition will require two minutes total of original character sketches or impressions.
