Don’t be fond of money, Ingwenyama warns HIS Majesty King Mswati III has strongly warned Swazis against prioritising money in everything they do, saying this may see them losing focus in life. Ingwenyama said people who have too much love for money turned to be wild and not who they are supposed to be. Speaking before dispersing thousands of Libutfo at Ngabezweni Royal Residence yesterday afternoon, Ingwenyama said as much as money was a necessity in life, people should not, however, be fond of it. “Lenye intfo lekubonakala kutsi yenta bantfu bajike babe ngulabangasabukeki kukhonta imali, kufane ningacali nikhonte imali ngobe ikwenta ungasatati,” Ingwenyama said, much to whistles and shouts of Bayethe. He lauded Libutfo for having come out in their numbers and having taken part on the Incwala Ceremony since it began when the Water Party was commisioned, until yesterday. Ingwenyama said the work that was done by Libutfo was commendable as they always showed their love for culture by partaking in such cultural events, especially the Incwala Ceremony. ‘Swazis blessed with cultural heritage’ IMPRESSED by the numbers of Libutfo who were in attendance during the Incwala Ceremony, Ingwenyama said God would bless the nation for making cultural heritage their priority at all times. Ingwenyama said people would give an account to God one day and they would be asked if they had indeed abided by their cultural heritage in life as this was a God-given heritage. “When we were born we found such cultural heritage in existence and it is for that reason that we should also stick to it and leave it for all generations to come,” Ingwenyama said. He said he was impressed when informed that Libutfo were able to weed the largest Royal fields within a space of three days which shows the magnitude they take their culture with. Ingwenyama said even bongengeni (those not in libutfo) came in their numbers as they wanted to be part of the cultural activities that took place since the Incwala Ceremony began, which showed how much Swazis love their culture
