Don’t miss the point! John 4:13-15 (NLT) 13 Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. 14 But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” 15 “Please, sir,” the woman said, “give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.” Like the snowman in the Disney movie “Frozen” who missed the point that snow and summer doesn’t mix. A lot of us miss the point of what God wants to do in our lives. Many that followed Jesus thought He would become king and lavish them with gold but He had come to save their souls. Sadly, many today follow Jesus hoping He will make them happy and rich but He promises to make us holy and righteous. This women was focused on Jesus making her life easier but Jesus was going to make her life edifying and worth living. Getting to know God and having Him change your character is better than anything material He can give you in this world. Chose His spiritual water over material water and your thirst for things that are really important will be satisfied. You also will develop distaste for things that have no eternal value. You want miss the point in life, if God’s spirit is leading you. Soul Food,
