Dosto at BUC...... Bharat Vyas (18 December 1918– 4 July 1983 ) ka 96th birth anniversary hai today. Born in Rajasthan. A well known lyricist who wrote very popular songs for Hindi films especially in the 1950s and 1960s. His first film as lyricist was Duhaai (1943). For a while also sang some songs in the 1940`s . Later developed a close working relationship with composer Khemchand Prakash and other music directors. The 1950`s were Bharat Vyass most productive / professionally satisfactory years. The films for which he wrote the songs covered a wide range of social , historical, mythological and religious films. Worked with many top directors, such as, Bimal Roy, V Shantaram, and Vijay Bhatt. He later was known as the lyricist for historical / mythological films. Most of his 1960s output was in those genres. He continued to work all the way through the 1970s and early 1980s, but the number of films declined in this period. Actor B M Vyas was also the brother of Bharat Vyas.
