Dottie and I did our benefit concert for the Tennessee and National Alzheimer Associations on Thursday evening in Rockwood, TN and and performed the new song I wrote for the occasion, "A NEW WORLD EVERY DAY". We stayed over to do some recording in the studio with Billy Anderson and his son Morgan. Morgan is a great engineer and got 14 great demos for me. Also went by Victorian Square while we were there and sang a little for the residents there, joining Michael and Barbara Arnold who were there doing their Music and Magic show for the enjoyment of those living there. Back home tonight for Friday Night Prayer Meeting at 7:30 on our Kitchen Tabernacle online spreaker site. More than ready for bed now. Need some rest for tomorrow night when I do my Ernest Tubb Tribute Show at the Troubadour Theater on Music Valley Drive. The show will be a special edition of the Midnite Jamboree, which is the second oldest radio show in the world. Thanks to the loyal perseverance of David McCormick, the owner and CEO of the Ernest Tubb Record Shops, the program has never stopped running since Uncle Ernest started airing it on WSM Radio in 1947. David built the beautiful Texas Troubadour Theater, in memory of Ernest Tubb, to help keep his memory alive and to give fans a comfortable place to watch the Midnite Jamboree. I am always honored to host this tribute to Uncle Ernest that gives me a chance to talk a little bit about the fantastic career of Ernest Tubb. The great Tommy Cash will be my special guest tomorrow night, along with Greg and Teresa Watson, Lucas Ciliberti and my beautiful bride, Dottie. We may have a surprise guest too. Hope to see a lot of friendly faces in the audience tomorrow night. Should be a great show.
