Double talk & Irony Double talk In a bid to stem taxpayer losses for bad loans guaranteed by federal housing agencies Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) proposed that borrowers be required to make a 5% down payment in order to qualify for a loan. His proposal was rejected 57-42 on a straight party-line vote because, as Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn) explained, Passage of such a requirement would restrict home ownership to only those who can afford it. I cant add anything to this, I just cant. Irony... Two Statements that speak volumes: Irony 1 “We are told NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics. BUT on the other hand……. We are also encouraged TO judge ALL Gun Owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Irony 2. The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing this yearthe greatest amount of free Meals and Food Stamps ever, to 47 million people as of the most recent figures available in 2013. Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us Please Do Not Feed the Animals. Their stated reason for the policy is because The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves. Thus Ends Todays Lesson On Irony
