Double victory for Kessel Racing at Istanbul... The first race in the Coppa Shell was a proper monologue by Rick Lovat, who, earlier on had gained the pole position for the race. The Canadian driver dominated the run thanks to an incredible race rhythm. Behind Lovat - who, with this race gained his first overall win after a victory in the gentlemen’s category - Max Bianchi crossed the line second, followed by Duyver. Meanwhile also Scheltema had a good race, finishing fourth, while Goerke crossed the line in sixteenth position. Vadim Gitlin won the Trofeo Pirelli race as well as in the AM category. He was followed by Perez Companc and Stratta in third place. De Bernardi concluded his race in seventh position amongst the AM drivers, while Merckx had to retire after he breathtakingly went off the track in the early stages of the race. Tomorrow, the final day of the weekend in Turkey, the qualifying will be held in the morning followed by the second race in the Coppa Shell at 14,10 and the Trofeo Pirelli at 16,00.
