Downloading Tesla Effect. Imagine a puzzle game, where you are a PI, in the mid 21st century post WW3, where radiation has caused mutations in the human population. You are Tex Murphy who is a snarky down on his luck trench coat sporting fedora wearing PI. He is something between Bruce Campbell and Mcgyver. The story should be complete camp, and has cameos from: Todd Bridges (Willis from Different Strokes), June Lockhart (mother in both the Lost in Space and Lassie original series tv shows), Larry Thomas (seinfelds Soup Nazi), and Keven Murphy (Mystery Science Theatre 3000s Tom Servo). The game is a FMV (full motion video) game where real actors are recorded and you interact with them. So, imagine a Bioware game with real actors instead of in game characters with voice actors. It also is a point and click adventure with puzzles and problem solving. This is a 16 year long wait for answers to a cliffhanger. This is one of the biggest game releases of the year, for me. If you have a PC that is at least a dual core processor, and 14gigs of hard drive space you should be able to play it. The original games are available on Gog. If you like puzzles, critical thinking, campy acting and one liners, and something unique in todays gaming landscape then look no further. Tesla Effect should be considered. The previous titles Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, and The Overseer are amazing as well. As I said they can be found on gog.
